Product Description

Cookin' In Mobile is a live CD + DVD release from five-time GRAMMYr award-winning singer/songwriter and worldrenowned American blues guitarist Robert Cray. This is The Robert Cray Band's first-ever live DVD release. Since their 1980 album debut Who's Been Talkin', Cray's unique playing style and distinct sound has become the bridge between traditional and contemporary-a signature blend of rhythm and blues, pop, rock, soul and traditional blues helping introduce old and new fans to a more contemporary blues sound. The Robert Cray Band has performed thousands of sold-out shows worldwide. Cray has performed alongside blues titans Albert Collins, Buddy Guy, Muddy Waters, Eric Clapton and B.B. King-touring extensively with both Collins and Clapton while also having worked with legends Tina Turner, Keith Richards, Chuck Berry, Bonnie Raitt, friend and fellow guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughn and Willie Dixon, to name a few. As a writer, his songs have been covered by many including, King, Clapton, and Tony Bennett.

Recorded 2/21/10 at the historic Saenger Theatre in Mobile, AL. 12-song CD/DVD features classics hits "Right Next Door" and "Smoking Gun" alongside new favorites "I Can't Fail" and "That's What Keeps Me Rockin'". DVD features same songs as CD. Bonus DVD features include an additional live performance of "Phone Booth", the music video for "Twenty", behind-the-scenes footage with band interviews, and a photo gallery from the show.
