Can we feel the difference between doing and being? "The Dark Seed" reminds me that every mouthful we eat is a vote that narrows the gap (between factory farms and eco crisis) or allows sustainability. Thoughtful is not enough, it is good to be and feel; Thankful, "From the Fire".

(again, with feeling:) These two never fail to delight my ears and my heart with their thoughtful lyrics and impeccable voices. Each time they release a new CD it seems (impossibly) even better than the last -- this one is the best yet! My personal favorites are: their tribute to Utah Phillips (From the Fire); Paul's beautiful song in honor of Eleanore's generous and kind spirit (To Let the Light In); Song of the Land, and Dark Seed. Paul & Eleanore always touch us in the deepest heart of our connection to one another and the Earth. Thanks for your sweet magic!

From their first project together, Paul Kamm and Eleanore MacDonald have facilitated hints of interaction between the listener and those things of which we are almost aware but can't quite touch on our own. Always the voices of that ethereal otherness have danced and floated with them as we have watched in wonder. With each album (if we can still call them that) they have brought us slightly closer to contact. Whereas before we have seen the veils and curtains flutter in the wind of their poetry, and harmony to reveal precious glimpses, this time they have been successful in opening the portal so that we, too, might dance with the mysteries. "From the Fire" calls us to join the song, share in the dance, and in so doing we, too, get to play with the muses and with this uncommonly talented duo. Thank you, Paul and Eleanore, for the gift of a journey long-awaited.

This music belongs in anyone's Collection, regardless of their preferences, it is so full of true heart and amazing musicianship....it's definitly my favorite so far, although I admit I'm a fan of everything that comes from these two!

From the Fire is the perfect record to listen to at home, in the car or at work. Each song tells a story to the listener with the perfect voices and musical talents of Paul Kamm and Eleanor MacDonald. This is the ultimate ablum for anyone who wants to hear great music - each song has a different feel to it and ALL the songs are wonderful....how many times do we buy an album and only a few songs are any good? Paul and Eleanor nail it!!! Can't stop listening to it!

I am familiar with Paul and Eleanore's music and have enjoyed it over the years, but this album blew me away. It is such a soothing, yet upbeat at times, original blend of music and lyrics. It's been in my car cd player since I got it and I haven't had the slightest desire to change it since. If you haven't heard From The Fire yet, you are missing out on something great - check it out!! I highly highly recommend it!
