Mae's (e)vening is the third and final installment in Mae's final trilogy of releases. Starting with (m)orning in 2009 and followed by (a)fternoon in 2010, the trilogy showcases the tremendous power of influence music can demonstrate when used for positive change. For the better part of 2009 and 2010, Mae dedicated themselves to raising money for charities in need through donations on their website. Through that campaign, the band built a home for a family in need, financed educational projects in classrooms across America, and connected with fans to contribute to local charity projects in their communities. The music on (e)vening, now widely available for the first time ever, is the result of that endeavor -- it also marks the first collaboration by the five original members of Mae in over 3 years (on the song "Bloom.") While (e)vening showcases a band at its creative apex, it is sadly also the bittersweet end of a band revered around the world for their ability to masterfully speak of the universal language of music and inspire a global community of fans. The (e)vening CD/DVD is Mae's farewell and contains nearly forty minutes of music and a bonus DVD featuring interviews with the band and concert footage from the band's final hometown show at The Norva in Norfolk, Virginia on November 27, 2010.
